Lloy
d Marcus, United WeStand
Ne
w unique patriotic CD album to be released at City of Deltona July 3rd Fireworks Display

Deltona’s own outspoken singer, songwriter & entertainer Lloyd Marcus will release and debut his new unique patriotic CD album at the City of Deltona fireworks display at Dewey O. Boster Sports Complex on Sunday July 3.

Beginning at 8pm, Marcus’ opening acts will be Deltona Idols, performers who have won various local talent contests. Lloyd Marcus will take center stage and perform tunes from his 13 song album titled, United We Stand.

Welcome Home Brother
a tribute to Viet Nam veterans received rave reviews at its debut before an audience of 20,000 vets at the Viet Nam Vets Reunion rally in Melbourne, FL. Marcus’ song is meant solely to give our Viet Nam vets the 30 year long overdue welcome home they’ve been denied.

Appalled by the movement to delete “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance, Marcus converts the pledge into a s
<>oulful duet which he sings with Anita McPherson putting special emphasis on the phase “under God”.

In spite of receiving much criticism, Marcus is a rare black American who admired Ronald Reagan. Marcus even performed for a Reagan Inaugural Ball in 1985. Moved by the passing of the late president, Marcus composed Ronnie Stayed The Same.

Big Band swing is the style Marcus uses to salute the swiftly disappearing veterans of WWII. His WWII Medley combines Yankee Doodle, Over There & Grand Old Flag in a unique feel good rendition of which Marcus delivers extremely well.

Marcus penned Its About Love in response to a tragic news story.

He organized 48 central Florida singers to record it benefiting the subject of the story. He feels the song is also compatible with the issues surrounding the Shiavo case. He includes the song in his CD as a celebration of the life of Terry Shiavo.

Nothing pulled Americans together like the attack on 9/11. Marcus wrote United We Stand to impress upon all Americans, red, yellow, black and white, the importance of staying united to defeat the evil which seeks our total demise.
